Body found in Cherokee County

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Okla. — The Grand River Dam Authority (GRDA) said a body was found near Elephant Rock in Cherokee County on Wednesday.

Elephant Rock sits on the Illinois River northeast of Tahlequah.

GRDA said the body was found by a citizen. An investigation is underway.
