Get ready for one of Oklahoma’s biggest summer celebrations as the annual Muscogee Nation Festival returns to Okmulgee in June 2026. Held each year during the fourth weekend of June, the multi-day event brings together thousands of visitors for a celebration of culture, community, entertainment, and tradition.
Hosted by the Muscogee Nation, the festival has grown into a can’t-miss event featuring live music, cultural demonstrations, sporting events, carnival rides, arts and crafts vendors, traditional activities, and family-friendly fun for all ages.
The festival takes place throughout Okmulgee, with many activities centered around the Claude Cox Omniplex and Muscogee Nation Capital Complex. Festival-goers can expect exciting events including the popular All Indian Rodeo, a parade, stickball games, softball tournaments, stomp dancing, food vendors, and free concerts throughout the weekend.
One of the returning events for 2026 is the Muscogee Nation Festival 5K, scheduled for Saturday, June 27. The race welcomes runners and walkers of all skill levels and includes both in-person and virtual participation opportunities.
Originally started in 1974 as a softball tournament and rodeo gathering, the festival has evolved into a major cultural celebration that attracts an estimated 40,000 attendees each year from across Oklahoma and beyond.
Whether you’re coming for the concerts, the cultural experiences, the food, or the family atmosphere, the Muscogee Nation Festival offers a unique opportunity to experience the traditions and hospitality of the Muscogee people while enjoying one of Green Country’s favorite summer events.
