Tulsa King will reign for a second season on Paramount +

Tulsa King on Paramount +

TULSA, Okla. — Paramount + series Tulsa King has only released three episodes and has just been renewed for a 2nd Season.

On Nov. 13, the premiere of the 10-episode show began streaming on Paramount +.

On Nov. 20, Tulsa King aired on the Paramount Network drawing in 3.7 million viewers, according to Variety.

Tulsa King has been described by many viewers and critics as a mix of Yellowstone and the Sopranos.

Taylor Sheridan, the creator of the neo-Western drama, Yellowstone, reportedly wrote the Tulsa King pilot script draft in just one day. Terence Winter, who wrote 25 episodes of The Sopranos, is Tulsa King’s showrunner.

Tulsa King stars Sylvester Stallone who is also an executive producer.

The storyline center’s around New York City mobster Dwight “The General” Manfred, played by Stallone. Manfred is released from prison after 25 years. His boss sends Manfred to Tulsa, Okla. for business opportunities.

From the concrete jungle to the bible belt, Manfred is hit by a massive culture shock when he arrives in Tulsa. Much has changed in 25 years as he finds himself in a land of dispensaries and churches on every corner. As Manfred navigates through carving a new life in Tulsa, he finds himself making genuine connections with many of the locals.

New Tulsa King episodes are released every Sunday on the Paramount + streaming site.
